NTP FAQs

What is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP)?

A Nutritional Therapy Practitioner is a professional trained in assessing individual health needs through nutritional support. We focus on balancing the body’s biochemistry to optimize health, energy, and overall well-being through a personalized approach.

How is nutritional therapy different from traditional dietitians or nutritionists?

Unlike traditional dietitians, who typically focus on specific diet plans or managing certain diseases, NTPs take a holistic, whole-body approach to healing, addressing root causes of imbalance and creating individualized protocols to restore wellness.

How can nutritional therapy help me?

Nutritional therapy can help you manage chronic conditions, boost energy, improve digestion, support mental clarity, and enhance your overall health by identifying and addressing nutritional imbalances and deficiencies in your diet.

What can I expect in a consultation?

During your initial consultation, we will review your health history, discuss your symptoms and goals, and perform a thorough assessment. Based on this information, I will create a personalized protocol plan, and we may recommend specific supplements or lifestyle changes.

Do I need to follow a strict diet?

The goal is not to follow a “strict” diet but rather a balanced, sustainable approach tailored to your specific needs. We’ll focus on nutrient-dense, whole foods that align with your body’s unique requirements and lifestyle.

What types of health concerns can nutritional therapy address?

Nutritional therapy can support a wide range of conditions, including digestive issues, autoimmune disorders, hormonal imbalances, fatigue, skin problems, and more. It can also help with general wellness, weight management, and chronic stress.

Is nutritional therapy covered by insurance?

Nutritional therapy is not typically covered by traditional insurance plans, but many clients find that the investment in their health is worth the expense.

How long will it take to see results?

Results can vary depending on your specific health concerns, lifestyle, and commitment to the plan. Some clients experience improvements in a few weeks, while others may take several months to notice significant changes.

What if I have food allergies or sensitivities?

I will work with you to create a plan that accommodates any food allergies or sensitivities. A key part of nutritional therapy is identifying foods that may be causing discomfort and replacing them with nutrient-dense alternatives.

Can nutritional therapy be used alongside other medical treatments?

Yes, nutritional therapy can complement conventional medical treatments. However, I always encourage open communication with your healthcare providers to ensure your approach to health is integrated and safe.

Do I need to take supplements?

Supplements may be recommended as part of your personalized plan to address any nutrient deficiencies or imbalances. However, the focus is always on nourishing the body with whole foods first. Supplements are a complementary tool, not a substitute for proper nutrition.

How often will I need to meet with you?

Follow-up sessions typically occur every 4-6 weeks, but the frequency can vary based on your health goals. Regular check-ins allow us to track your progress and make adjustments as needed.

How do I get started?

Simply reach out to book your initial consultation. We will discuss your health history, goals, and create a plan that best supports your needs.

Can I work with you if I’m not in your local area?

Yes! I offer virtual consultations via video calls, allowing me to work with clients no matter where they are located.
